n00b Year Bliss

Muffins!

I hope you all had a New Year's full of rainbows and ponies and other fabulous and wonderous things. My New Year's was made by this exchange between Kathy Griffin and a heckler:

But you come here for Serious Discussions on life in academia, right (Hahaha, funny funny)? My New Year's was made 100x better when my PI informed me that some Super Snazzy Scientists saw one of my Awesome Posters and want to collaborate with me! Except I already have collaborators! So we have to say no!! But that's ok, because that's totally like getting hit on in a bar even though you have a boyfriend, it's the thought that counts.

And my 2nd author JACS paper is under review, oh yea!

So yea, I totally need to eat more ice cream to celebrate this. And do more science so all my papers aren't from undergrad (see n00b year's resolutions). Stay warm, muffins! I'll be spending my evening with cocoa, wishing woe and destruction upon The Death Star of college football, USC.
