Muffins!
I really welcomed the empathy I received on my 'Why we gotta be talking 'bout babies all the time?!' post a bit ago. I got some great suggestions on how to go about orchestraing a baby-free Q&A on campus and I was mulling over them when it hit me. I have an uber fantastic resource right here on the internets! And it's cheaper (hurr) and requires less social anxiety than trying to get it going IRL (definetly)!
So what I'm proposing is I will make big pouty eyes at the Lady Professor bloggers on the wide interwebs to volunteer themselves to answer a to-be-determined number of questions about how to be a r0cker woman in academia. With the contingent being I shall not allow a single questions about babies.
Figure 1: This doesn't really fit the rest of the post, but when I googled 'anti-baby' this popped up and damn was it funnyI would also really like to have women in industry/national labs that lead groups of their own and women in soft money positions. So if you have linkies to such females, please let me know so I can e-whore for their participation. If you are one of said ladies, feel free to post/email to volunteer yourself.
If (when! positive thinking, narf) I assemble a panel of awesome volunteers, I will open the floor fot questions from the blogging community. I will, of course, steal half of them and pretend like I came up with said brilliant questions myself . And yes, manly men, I'm discriminating against your nuts and you can suck it.
Just, like, don't tell me about it.
So, please help a d-list monktress out and volunteer/suggest peoples! Because I would actually really love to do this, and not just because it would totally increase my pageviews like WOAH.

If you're desperate, you can count me in. I guess.
Sure, I will play...
Just saw this--I am on a procrastination streak, so catching up with my blogs!
I would participate--I am on the TT now, but I was at National Lab for 7 years before I rejoined academia.
I can't believe you only got 3 responses to this. I hope you got some more via email. This is kinda depressing. I apologize in the name of my female professorial brethren (or whatever the female version of "brethren" may be, if it exists).
Sorry I'm so late. I'm even further behind than PA! I'm new on the tt, and promise not to talk about babies.
